The enforcement of security Interest and Recovery of Debts Laws (Amendment) Act, 2012 amends The Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 (SARFAESI) and the recovery of debts due to Banksand Financial Institutions Act, 1993. The amendments are aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the measures contained in the aforesaid enactments and facilitate restructuring of the borrower companies.
