The reforms measures were not only aimed at liberalizing the regulatory framework but also keeping them in tune with international standards. The present paper intends to analyze productivity of two major players of public and private sector banks, i.e. State Bank of India and ICICI, during the second reform phase from 2007-08 to 2011-12.
