In this study the focus is on the impact of liberalization on the non-performing assets of the four banking segments, namely, public sector, old private sector, new private sector and foreign banks by studying the overall trends in NPAs. We have used the Structure- Conduct- Performance approach that shows the relationship between competition and conduct,concentration and growth in NPAs.
